Unite for Health Foundation Eloumden Celebrates its First Anniversary

Unite For Health Foundation shall be celebrating the celebration of the first anniversary of its third micro-clinic at Eloumden in the Mbankomo Health District of Cameroon. This branch was open to respond to the plight of the population of this semi-urban community who had to walk to for long distance and sometime using motor bikes to access the nearest health facilities. Pregnant women were at the mercy of some clandestine clinics operated by non-qualified personnel putting their lives and that of their babies in danger.
Over the past 12 months, we have recorded a very satisfactory impact of our services. We have registered over 1000 patient consultations, 150 child births, over 800 children have been immunized at our center and about 350 patient admissions. Our community outreach health campaigns led to the free screening of over 300 people for HIV, Hepatitis B & C and Chlamydia. We also screened over 250 women for breast and cervical Cancer. An ultrasound was donated to UHF by World Connect hence improving on the quality of antenatal services offered at this center.
As a way of celebrating with the people of Eloumden and its environs, from the 1st of September to the 30th of September, there shall be free consultation, 50% reduction of fees for all our services including a flat fee of 300frs for ultrasound screening. This is
We plan to improve on our maternal and child health program by expanding our ANC program as well as ensure that many more children are immunized. We also plan to carry our screening for non-communicable diseases including diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and hypertension as part of our community outreach program for 2020.
